About Engaging with Ageing
is to help people to get the most from later life, to feel positive about their lives and to continue to contribute to our society and world. We want to debunk myths and stereotypes about ageing. We want to encourage a realistic engagement with the issues and opportunities which our longer lives present, both by individuals and by the organisations which make up our society.
We are for you, if you are thinking about your ageing process and want to age well, moving into later life positively and creating a life which is both enjoyable and meets your need for meaning and purpose.
Groups, Workshops and Training Programmes
We run Workshops and Discussion Groups on themes of ageing, and small group programmes on Building Personal Resilience and creating the life you want. Our courses aim to support everyone in finding meaning, purpose and enjoyment in later life.
All the evidence is that we need other people. We provide a variety of group programmes, connections, and what better way than exploring a subject like this with other individuals who are engaging with similar issues?
Age Coaching - coaching with a focus on re-thinking your life priorities, is available for all. Graduates of the Resilience programme can opt for Resilience Check-Ins to embed the learning in real life challenges. These services are always provided by a BACP- accredited and registered counsellor.
We work with organisations to help them create age friendly workplaces, and create bespoke trainings for employees to help them prepare for their later life, potentially including retirement, through thought provoking events and workshops
Engaging with Ageing was founded by Cathy Warren. Cathy worked in service management roles for Age UK / Age Concern England, and in organisation development for many years. She is a BACP accredited counsellor and experienced coach and Resilience trainer.
